We in Alekto are pleased to announce our continued sponsorship for the 2025 Irish National Hillclimb and Sprint Championship. We have been sponsoring the championship since 2018 and are proud to do so in 2025. The championship brings together cars of very different types from the production entry classes to the super modified Class 3B cars. We also have a sprinkling of single seat cars but not enough unfortunately in 2024.

2024 saw the introduction of the Alekto designed virtual chicane on National rounds. Having been trialled in 2023 on non championship rounds, 2024 saw its introduction to the National Championship. The virtual chicane is used as a safe means of controlling car speeds when required around certain hazards on a course. 2024 also saw the introduction of the Junior class which was won this year by Leah Kane in her trusty Cinquecento. This is a great way of introducing the younger ones to motorsport and the atmosphere that surrounds a motorsport weekend.

The 2024 championship overall winner was Billy White in his Reynard.

2024 was a successful year for us in Alekto as part of the championship. Alekto’s managing director Tommy Gardiner running under the “Team Snowman” banner finished 1st Overall in Class 3A (Production modified class) and 3rd Overall in the National Saloon Championship.

The awards were recently held in the Midland Park Hotel in Portlaoise.
